Dec. 9, 1998 (night) ==>

• "pro" (SL98h, tagged with SL98h_1) version of STAR library moved to "old"
• "dev" (SL98j, tagged with SL98j_1) version of STAR library moved to "pro"
• "new" now points to newly created SL98k
• "dev" points to newly created SL98l

Note that the last release of "PRO" was on 9/28/98! If you want all changes between that version (98h) and now, you will need to read all the release histories between then & now.

The recommended version to use is "pro" (SL98j).

The main purpose of this release is to have all the domains working in PRO.

NEW PAMS and/or modules

• pams/tpc/tcl/tcc --> smart cluster algorithm (Lincoln)
• pams/global/ev0/ev0_dst --> writes subset of ev0out table to dst_v0_vertex table (Kathy)

PAM kumacs - following areas had changes to kumacs:

• pams/ctf/kumac
• pams/emc/kumac
• pams/global/kumac - for ev0_dst and changes to dst_fill_run_summary and dst_fill_event_summary
• pams/tpc/kumac - for tcc,tfs & reformat for minidaq data

Default parameter files remade for following pams:

• pams/ftpc -> ffs_pars.xdf, fss_pars.xdf
• pams/global -> dstpars.xdf
• pams/tpc -> tcl_pars.xdf

• kumacs/chain - changes to BFC kumacs
  1. BFC.kumac - now allows skipping of events with "mdin" in chain
  2. BFC_UTIL.kumac - changes
     
     • sgr - check on sgr before running stk
     • fzin - make gstar after reading in file to create hepe* tables correctly
     • tfc_r - now uses tpc sector #'s as input
     • ev0d - now runs ev0_dst code instead of just kumacs
         - set rowcount of ev0out table to 0 at end
  3. call_bfc*.kumac examples:
