Release "dev" tagged as SL99e -> "new"

June 15 1999, "dev" version of Library has been tagged as SL99e and moved to "new".

This is a bug fix release.

SL99f moved to "dev" branch. Former "new" left alone for a couple of weeks.

The present release assignment is:

SL98j (SL98j_1)

SL98l(SL98l_1)

old -> SL99a (SL99a_2)

pro -> SL99b (tagged as SL99b) MDC2 production version

SL99c (tagged as SL99c_1)

SL99d (tagged as SL99d_1)

new -> SL99e (tagged as SL99e)

dev -> SL99f

The summary of major changes in makers, classes, pams modules and macros since release library in May 31 are outlining below.

StROOT

Classes:

St_base:

StTree - bug fixed to get correct reading of *dst.root files;

St_NodePosition, St_NodeView, StPolyLineShape - SetLineAttribute methods have been introduced;

St_Node, St_NodePosition, St_PolyLine3D, StPolyLineShape - modified due to St_PolyLine3D has been redesigned

St_Node, St_NodeView - list of the shapes has been introduced;

StEvent

StGlobalTrack - added separate method to set and access number of hits in case the hit collections aren't filled;

StarClassLibrary: added new files StMemoryInfo.cc, StMemoryInfo.hh; modified files: StThreeVector, StThreeVectorD, StThreeVectorF - added new constructor which takes C-style array as argument and new operators operator() and operator[] which can be used as lvalues; modified files:StLorentzVector, StLorentzVectorD, StLorentzVectorF - added new operators operator() and operator[]; added new example files memoInfoTest.cc, vecTest.cc, added description of new class StMemoryInfo.

Modified/fixed Maker:

StFtpcV0Maker - changed FTPC track constructor to be compatible with sun and the new SCL;

StEventReaderMaker - StXdfEventManager replaced by StEventManager;

St_db_Maker - added missing tables;

St_xdfin_Maker - fixed bug with first event;

St_tpt_Maker - added function to switch on/off tte_track;

St_QA_Maker - put in method FindHists to find the histogram directory;

New macros:

Basic3dPrimitives.C - new macro to show the basic feature of new 3D classes;

EventPanel.C - added new macro to show the basic of STAR 3D graphics, added axices button;

DrawTpcHits.C - added new macro to show hits 4D drawing operation;

bfcread_hist_file_to_ps.C - new macro that reads the *hist.root file produced from bfc.C and uses all histogram utility methods in St_QA_Maker to manipulate the histograms;

Example_look_at_tables_after_bfcread.C, Example_read_dst_browse.C- added new examples;

Modified macros:

PadControlPanel.C - 4 view commands has been introduced and activated, added new buttons to draw 3D axes and to adjust scale;

HistDraw.C - new version has been created;

DrawDstHist.C - changed from using St_io_maker to StIOMaker

doEvents.C - modified to add mag.field;

tpdDraw.C - desabled # of track limit;

bfcread_hist_file_browser.C - modified to change variable definition in correct place;

PAMS

tpc/tid - fixed bug in sign of track rotation in tde_new.F;

tpc/tpt - set dynamic allocation for the local trk record array;

pams/ftpc - removed debug array, modified to save the best hits found correctly, fixed primary vertex coordinates;

pams/geometry - introduced year_1 summer geometry;

pams/global - fixed bug in egr_fitter.F that meant first and last hits were wrong; modified math_constants.inc to replace definition of C_DEG_PER_RAD;
