Installation

Requirements

    Download URL for latest JDK or JRE
HP-UX 10.20      http://www.hp.com/esy/go/java.html
SGI Irix 6.4   http://www.sgi.com/Products/Evaluation/#jdk

Instructions

  1. gunzip the file received from KAI.
  2. Untar the tar file. We recommend that you do this in the KCC_BASE directory of your current KCC installation. This will create a sub-directory named kdb.
  3. Run kdb/Install.csh (a csh script). Youw will be propted for the directory where java is installed.

Note -- for Cobalt Networks Linux
Use this command in install step 3: sh kdb/Install.sh You will be prompted for the KCC installation directory, but a java installation on the Cobalt Networks machine is not required (since the KAI C++ debugger is used in remote debugging mode under the Cobalt Networks Linux.
