To calibrate the amplification in the different electronics channels, we are planning to do a krypton calibration run: A radioactive krypton isotope is added to the chamber gas. The known energy deposit from electrons resulting from the gamma decay of the excited krypton state allows a calibration of the gas and electronics amplification, for a more precise measurement of the particle positions and their energy loss. The feasibility study was part of Tobias Eggert's diploma thesis.
