Difference between worst/best fiber is 9.5 dBm (factor 8.9 in power!)
Difference between patch present/not present is ~10% loss

Measurements of fiber transmission using a light pulser at the RDO end of the fiber
July 6:
Note: measurement with light pulser connected to optical power meter by 1m of fiber
-2.8 dBm
Remember: the light source is different from that used in previous measurements.
Only the relative power for the following 4 measurements is important.

Conclusions
The variation seen in the original measurements (July 2)
cannot be explained by the fiber transmission measured above.
It must be due to a variation in the RDO transmitters.
Measurements still to be performed
use the power meter to measure the output at the RDO
directly. (after rollout)
