The SVT Calibration is the set of computational activities required to prepare parameter data that must be down-loaded into the SVT detector system software for on-line and off-line evaluation of the data. The SVT calibration system gathers all necessary parameters and informations to permit the proper utilization of the acquired data both on- and off-line.
Details are given for the requirements partaining to the functionality and operation of on-line calibration. The output of the calibration is fed to the Monitoring system described in a separate section.
