Troubleshooting: No Data from Netfeed
If an on-line analysis process fails to pull events from a netfeed
socket, some possible reasons are:
- The socket has timed out; stop and restart the analysis.
- The socket is not enabled in MiniDAQ; check the Run Control panel
to see if netfeed1 and/or netfeed2 is selected. (This must
be done before getset in Run Control.)
- MiniDAQ is not producing tables; MiniDAQ does not necessarily
output any tables from an event. If the user did not select 8-bit
or 10-bit data from Run Control, and RDO headers, etc. are disabled
from the Table Browser, MiniDAQ can run "silently." This is sometimes
desirable, to update pedestals or gains on the i960's. Data tables
must be enabled before doing the getset for a run.
