Troubleshooting: Data Not Coming

If MiniDAQ fails to get events from the readout boards, this is most likely to be a problem with the electronics setup or cabling. Common problems include:

• RDO's not powered: FEE power supplies must be on and properly connected for all enabled readout boards.

• Wrong Rosie-busy configuration: Verify that the synchronization module setup is correct, with Rosie busies enabled (switch up) if, and only if, the Rosie was enabled at configuration time.

• No triggers:

  • The LeCroy 222 gate/delay NIM module for the trigger output has a red LED that flashes visibly for each trigger; if it never flashes, check the trigger source and enable in the trigger crate.

  • The RDO's have a green LED that flashes visibly for each trigger; if no readout board flashes, check the trigger card and the trigger cable.
