Starting MiniDAQ without Run Control

Taking data without Run Control is a bad idea and next-to-impossible: don't do it. For one thing, run parameters then have to be set in opaque Table Browser tables. However, abnormal circumstances (e.g., debugging) may force one to do it, so here is some information.

  1. In the run_w_eye.dl window, click Init and wait for the initialization to finish.
  2. If the Table_Browser window's table directory is blank, click SERVER, select others from the menu, enter deneb in the dialog box, and click ``OK''.
  3. In the Table_Browser window's table directory, double-click taper_parameters.
    1. In the taper_parameters--Row:0 window that pops up, set ``Enabled:'' to ``1'' . Right-click in the window and select Increment Row. If a ``Save Changes?'' dialog box pops up, click ``Yes''.
    2. In the taper_parameters--Row:1 window, set ``Enabled:'' to ``1'' for netfeed0. Right-click in the window and select Increment Row. If a ``Save Changes?'' dialog box pops up, click ``Yes''.
    3. In the taper_parameters--Row:2 window, set ``Enabled:'' to ``1'' for netfeed1. Right-click in the window and select Close. If a ``Save Changes?'' dialog box pops up, click ``Yes''.
  4. In the Table_Browser window's table directory, double-click fctest4_trigger.
    1. In the Table:fctest4_trigger--Row:0 window that pops up, click on the Multiple Entries after triggers_enabled: and hit <return> .
    2. In the fctest4_trigger--Row:0 window that pops up, click on the lower, right-hand box and enter ``1'' .
    3. Back in the Table:fctest4_trigger--Row:0 window, click the righthand mouse button and select Close. If a ``Save Changes?'' dialog box pops up, click ``Yes''.
  5. In the run_w_eye.dl window, click Config; wait for it to finish.
