Setting Up Tape Writing

  1. Load an Exabyte tape into the TTi 8210 near the MiniDAQ crate. Be sure to disable write-protection; trying to write to a protected tape will cause problems.
  2. Select the MiniDAQ desktop on deneb's console; go to the Table_Browser. Click Taper parameters and verify that taper0 is set to ``1.'' (If not, set it; click the right mouse button; select close from the menu; click on Yes in the ``Save?''dialog box that pops up.)
  3. Go to the tapeunit.dl; click Online.
