Level 1 Trigger Simulation Documents

These documents contain results of STAR Trigger simulations for level 1. The physics trigger for level 1 is event by event fluctuations in charged particle distributions. The goals of the level 1 simulations are three-fold:

• Determine event selectivity for given algorithm

• Determine optimum size and structure for the level 1 course pixel array

• Do timing tests for level 1 algorithms

• Autocorrelation/Power Spectrum Analysis

• Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test

• A "Suite" of Tests

• Statistical Moment Analysis

• Neural Nets

• Scaled Dimension Analysis
