Power cycling the Trigger

  1. go to tpc_top desktop VME control panel of the tpc_top program
  2. push OFF button for global trigger control
  3. push the ON button for global trigger control
    This enacts the following sequence automatically:
    the on button for RCC crate (69) - wait 30 seconds
    the on button for L1 crate (62) - wait 30 seconds
    the on button for TCD crate (60) - wait 30 seconds
    the on buttons for the BDB, BBC, CDB, CTB crates

    You can see if any processor is done by clicking in its window and hitting return.
    If done, the prompt will appear.

The trigger should now be configured and ready to run. <\ol>

Or, you can power cycle individual crates. For instance, if the BCE crate has lost its connection to Run Control and is now black, chances are it needs to be powered off and on to reestablish the connection. You can select the individual crate and use its on/off buttons to accomplish this.
