EST Eficiencies
The
new Est tracking is acually set to reconstruct tracks going trough SVT
and TPC in the following to patterns:
-
Pattern 1. Tracks with 3 or more hits on SVT with at least 1 hit in each
barrel (because of overlapping a track may have 2 hits in a given barrel).
-
Pattern 2. Tracks with 2 or more hits on SVT with at least 2 hits in 2
differents barrels.
For this first look at the efficiencies of Est in MDC4 I will define
the 2 values, efficiency and purity as:
-
effiency = Number of Monte Carlo tracks(MC) with
the pattern 1(2) associated to a Reconstructed track(RC) with the pattern
1(2) Divided by the Number of MC tracks with
the pattern 1(2)
-
purity = Number of RC
tracks with the pattern 1(2) associated to a MC track with the pattern
1(2)Divided by the Number
of RC tracks with the pattern 1(2)
-
Efficiency and purity for primary tracks
-
Pattern 1 : 1 hit in each SVT barrel
Efficiency and purity for primary tracks with the pattern 1 as a function
of transverse momentum(Upper), pseudoRapidity(Midlle) and phi(Bottom).
The
efficiency is around 80% with a purity of 90% !
-
Pattern 2 : 2 hit in 2 SVT barrel
Efficiency and purity for primary tracks with the pattern 2 as a function
of transverse momentum(Upper), pseudoRapidity(Midlle) and phi(Bottom).
The
efficiency is around 70% with a purity of 85% !
-
Efficiency and purity for scondary tracks
To evaluate the efficiency of reconstruction of secondaries tracks, I define
the Efficiency as above, but when selecting the good MC trcaks I request
this tracks NOT to came from the primary vertex. The purity is also defined
as above but selecting globals RC tracks I ask them NOT to have a
primary track partner.
