What to do with results of running STAF
What to do after running kumac
The standard chain kumacs either write out the staf tables to a file
or write a table to an ntuple. You can only make plots from ntuples!
You can write files while still in STAF after running (or you
could edit a chain ntuple and put the commands in appropriate places.
- To write a directory to a file
$STAR/kumacs/util/write_table_to_file#init (inputs)
$STAR/kumacs/util/write_table_to_file#write (inputs)
$STAR/kumacs/util/write_table_to_file#close (inputs)
- To write a table to an ntuple on disk
$STAR/kumacs/util/write_table_to_ntuple#init_disk (inputs)
$STAR/kumacs/util/write_table_to_ntuple#write_event_disk (inputs)
$STAR/kumacs/util/write_table_to_ntuple#close_disk (inputs)
- To write a table to an ntuple in memory
$STAR/kumacs/util/write_table_to_ntuple#init_memory (inputs)
$STAR/kumacs/util/write_table_to_ntuple#write_event_memory (inputs)
You can now read the ntuple back into STAF (just like PAW) and
make a plot:
hi/file 21 mytable.ntup 0
nt/li
nt/print 21
nt/pl 21.myvariable
