evidence for swap of 08PC03 < -- > 08PD03

  1. all tests below are performed with a single minB run R5112017 (w/ TPC ), all 200K events are processed each time.
  2. Spectra in each plot are as follows:
    top : 08TB03, 08PB03, 08QB03, 08RB03 <-- reference, working fine , MIP visible with UxV method
    middle : 08TC03, 08PC03, 08QC03, 08RC03
    bottom: 08TD03, 08PD03, 08QD03, 08RD03
    X= ADC - ped , range [-10,150]
    red dashed line shows MIP MPV for towers ('T'-spectra), ignore green lines
  3. Raw spectra, nothing masked out in DB.

    Conclusions:
    all tiles work fine except one.
    Tile 08QC03 has probably probably broken fiber and/or ped jump during this run. It should look like 08QD03 below it.


  4. 08QC03 is masked out. UxV condition is required to select MIP. 2 chan per bin. Spectrum for each tile requires all other pre/post to have values above very low threshold & UxV:
    condition for T spectrum : UxV & P>thr & Q>thr & R>thr
    condition for P spectrum : UxV & Q>thr & R>thr
    condition for Q spectrum : UxV & P>thr & R>thr
    condition for R spectrum : UxV & P>thr & Q>thr

    Conclusion: no MIP is found for both C03 & D03


  5. 08QC03 is masked out and swapped 08PC03 < -- > 08PD03. MIP condition as above.

    Conclusion: MIP is found for both C03 & D03


  6. 08QC03 is NOT masked out and swapped 08PC03 < -- > 08PD03. MIP condition as above.

    Conclusion: MIP is found only in D03 and lost on C03.
    It means non-zero ADC values seen in 08QC03 in the row inclusive spetrum are simply crass talk.
