Slope Analysis Procedure (SetF)
(HV input = setF (same as setE except 7TB10) --> HV output = none)


  • Tag all Towers in 5TA-8TE which should not be included in average. In total 21 towers were rejected. They can be lumped into the following categories:
    1. No 2003 Calibration -
      5TC12,5TD04(PMT9),5TD10(PMT3),6TA12,6TB04,6TC09,7TB09,7TD08,8TD04,8TD08,8TE04,8TE12
    2. No Led Response in Time Ordered Tests -
      5TD10(PMT3),5TE03(PMT10),6TB04,6TB07,6YC09,6TD10
    3. GUI lists as "BAD" (ie Red) -
      5TE03(PMT10),7B09,7D08,7E07,6B04,6B07,6C09,6D10,6D11
    4. Review of Spectra reveal sticky bits or abnormal spectrum -
      5TD10(PMT3),5TE03(PMT10),6TA03,6TA07,6TB04,6TB07,6TC09,6TD10,7TB09,7TD08,7TE07,8TB07,8TD04
  • Find Error Weighted Average of Remaining Good Tower slopes in 5TA-8TE for each ETA bin (bin = 1 for Tower =1 for eta = 2, bin = 12 for Tower =12 for eta =1 ). Eta Bin 3 continues to fall from smooth curve. Value -0.20 will be used for the "goal" slopes in ETA BIN 3 when adjusting HV. ETA bin 6 also deviates from smooth curve -- first indication of this so did not modify.

    Slope Distribution for Calibrated and UnCalibrated Towers for each ETA Bin (click to enlarge): The gray(red) spectra on the right(left) is the slope distribution of the calibrated(uncalibrated) towers only. The outliers in the plots below are towers : 6TD12,12TA07,10TA07,1TD02,12TA08.



    Slope Summary File here . Contains Eta bin slope averages and projected Gain changes for each tower.

    A quick review of Towers 2TA-B and 4TB-D shows about 1/3 of towers are out of ideal range +/-10%. This is reasonable after only 1 gain iteration with the slope method. New HV were not calculated from this analysis.
