Our first aluminum chamber body has been machined and is in good shape.
The precision of the machining has been measured and with the final
adjustments fulfills the requirements. The glueing of the gating grid and
Frisch grid wired will begin as soon as the work on the smaller chamber
body for the test setup is finished.
The picture shows our engineer Klaus Ackermann inspecting the chamber body
before it was removed from the machine.
Mass production of the readout chambers and of the front end cards is in
progress.
