TOFp System Procedure:
TOFp NPS All On


   Description:
This is the procedure to turn on all plugs of the TOFp NPS that are necessary for physics running. Follow this procedure after loss (and restoration) of AC power on the platforms or loss of the SGIS Global Permissive.

   Requirements:
  1. Notification of TOFp Group.
  2. Access to STAR Subnet.
  3. Password Information (posted at TOF Station in STAR Control Room).
   Procedure:
  1. Open the TOFp NPS Tutorial in a browser window for reference.
  2. From any terminal window, make a telnet or ssh connection to tofpnps.starp.bnl.gov  (130.199.60.47). The password is posted at the TOF Station in the Control Room.
  3. You are now logged into the Network Power Switch.
  4. Enter
         /S
    to display NPS Plug names and status.
  5. Enter exactly as shown below
         /on 2:8,y
    to turn on NPS Plugs 2 through 8, which powers up TOFp equipment.
  6. Enter
         /S
    to display NPS Plug names and status.
  7. Make sure all plugs are on...
  8. Enter /x,y to exit the communication w/ the NPS unit.
  9. Note the action in the Shift Log Book.

   Completion:
  1. Contact TOFp Control to inform that procedure is complete, and with any end-of-procedure comments that are necessary.
