Troubleshooting: Data not Analyzed
If an analysis process pulls events from a netfeed socket, but doesn't
seem to analyze them, possible reasons include:
- MiniDAQ is not producing the necessary tables; if, for
example, the analysis needs 8-bit or 10-bit data tables,
these have to be enabled through Run Control before the getset
for the run.
- The readout-board sector/location assignments are incorrect,
or different from those expected by the analysis. Note that the
sector/location assignment is loaded by the readout board at power-up,
and by MiniDAQ from the data header of first event of a run; attempts
to modify it later will fail.
- Pedestal-run tables appear in two sequences - the first group
from the first enabled Rosie on each i960, the second group from the
second enabled Rosie. A pedestal analysis task will only be getting
tables from one sequence at a time.
- The analysis may be missing essential calibration data, either
from the data stream (e.g., gain tables in the Begin Run event) or from
an offline database.
