The ratio of MWC/CTB multiplicity has also been explored. These results for the 4000 FRITIOF events are displayed in <A HREF="MWCTB_lund.GIF">Figure 10</A> and for the 400 modified HIJET events in <A HREF="MWCTB_hijet.GIF">Figure 11</A>. Again placing thresholds at +/- 2 sigma, the fraction of plasma events passed increases to 40-60%. Although this shows marked improvement over multiplicity alone, these results indicate more sophisticated methods of analysis may be necessary in order to efficiently select interesting physics with the Level 0 trigger. Further investigations are currently proceeding by including the analysis of  fluctuations in energy from the EMC as well as a methodology utilizing a suite of tests at Level 0 to make a trigger decision.
