Conclusions

The implementation of a level 0-2 trigger based on a muon detector seems feasible. Only a few percent of central AuAu will produce a pair of back-to-back muons. However when looking for the estimated signal to background ratio is of the order of 1/20. Nevertheless further background rejection could be obtained at the third level trigger. More detailed studies are needed in this direction.
