MODEL DESCRIPTION

Object model, data flow and state diagrams have been developed for the simulation using SELECT OMT (Object Modeling Technique). This methodology is described in detail in OBJECT-ORIENTED MODELING AND DESIGN by James Rumbaugh et al.. OMT conventions have been adhered to rather loosely in an effort to present the model in a more intuitive manner.

The object model describes the static structure of objects in a system, their identity and relationships to other objects. It corresponds to actual hardware and related entities. The data flow model describes what a system does, what information is moved between objects in the simulation. The state diagrams describe what actions are performed by a given object.
