Problems:
- Global tracks
- Fig. 1, Fig. 7-10 : χ2/NDF for track with pile-up ≈ 2, without pile-up ≈ 1;
- Fig. 5, Fig. 10-12. χ2Vertex ≈ 10 for both PPV and KFV (It should be around 2). A strange pT dependence for PPV.
- Fig. 21. A slighter worse DcaXY for StiCA than Sti: ≈ 0.5 cm versus 0.4 cm, respectively. (It might be due to higher StiCA efficiency for low pT tracks.)
- Fig. 55, 67. DcaXY pull with pile-up increased to 3.
- Primary tracks
- Fig.121: η pulls with pile-up increase to 2
- Fig.129: very strange pulls for η for PPV.
- Reconstruction efficiencies
- Fig.151-153: Global tracks Sti efficiency ≈ 50%, StiCA efficiency ≈ 60%.
- Fig.155-156: Primary track Sti efficiency ≈ 50%, StiCA ≈ 60%.
- Fig.175-177: Lost global tracks : Sti ≈ 45%, StiCA ≈ 30%
- Fig.178-180: Lost primary tracks : Sti ≈ 45%, StiCA ≈ 30%
- No anomalies observed by Hongwei (slide 7) for global pT have been seen in this MC analysis.
Conclusions
- Adding pile-up with 10 MHz rate increase track χ2/NDF by a factor of 2.
- Adding pile-up reduces track reconstruction efficiency from 95% to 50% for Sti and to 60% for StiCA.
- The efficiency is compatible with results obtained from Track by Track comparison,
