no, it's not related to that. The blinkig orange light tells us that a
trip has occurred as some point in time ... a separate command can be
used to reset that blinking light, but usually i am not bothered by that.

the only thing I need (and Soeren knows that because I talk to him
almost daily) is a single pedestal run written to the local disk. Once
that one is checked w/ my stand-alone offline daqreader, i will sign off
on the daq system. John and I are reviewing the getdata flowchart to see
what we could gain in performance during tof-only pedestal runs. This is
no show-stopper at all, since we knew about these "features" last year
and never saw them show up under realistics running conditions (i.e.
physics or pedestal runs tied in w/ the TPC).

Furthermore, i am talking to Tonko to get us in his list of "offcially
supported" subsystems -see hist last email to starops- somewhere early
next week.
