maybe crazy. but it did register.
we're wondering why it seems like we getting pulsed in the
middle of "physics runs".
i often look at http://online.star.bnl.gov/Rates/
when we're running.
i recall often see during running that this page
typically lists (in the blue text) Latest Run XXXXXX for... which
includes the string 'pedAsPhys'
i.e. i've seen the descriptor "pedestal as physics" for a trigger
"type" often (this run and last run).
i have no idea what this descriptor really means - i just thought
i'd throw it out there since one might then suspect a 'ped
as physics' run might be sending trigger command 4's... (?)
anyway, i will redo that fcondition spectra
including a new condition (6 bits) that all adcs=all & all
tdcs=0 (the 'fake' data)
and also for one of the localmon files from "before"
all the changes when the 'local trigger efficiency' was ~26%....
sorry for the confusion before. just to confirm,
in the most recent data, ~15% is physics events,
and the remainining 85% are all 'strobe' events
but are half-and-half w.r.t. the pvpd singles scalers
being zero or non-zero...
comments?
thanks,
bill
