Bill -- just saw your comments about pedAsPhys ... that could explain A
LOT: the daq only knows the difference between pedestal and physics
because it gets told so by STAR runcontrol. Typically the only action
that it undertakes when pedestal is keeping track of all the events
(sending them off the localmon and STAR) and create a final event at the
end (Token=0) which summarizes the event ... that's all it knows.

i think cases 7 and 15 are both pedestal data, meaning they could only
be generated by a STAR pedestal run . Cat. 7 has the pedestals taken
with no beam (or pvpd off) and cat.15 has pedestals with the collisions
in STAR.

many runs have been done last shifts, many of which we don't have a
record because the crew can discard them. Localmon however keeps track
of these ...

completely agree on cat.25: those should be the real data events

(i assume tdc[0] = a tofp channel and not the tdc for pvpd E1)

cat 0 seems to be an event where we missed an L0 and send out fake data
(no EVT or PULSER, no single on E1, most likely tdc[0]=0)

cat.8 is the single event were we didn't get an EVENT,PULSER (sca9,10
are absent), so no coincidence (is sca8 also absent?). The fact that
this event is in localmon means that we were following up on an
accepted (or lost) L2. What is weird is that we have a readout on the
scaler ... so we *did* readout something ... weird. maybe you could
print out this single event ...

cat.11 (not 12, right?) is interesting ... sca9 and 10 are set, so those
must have been pulsed events. But tdc[0] is not on its delta-position,
in fact it overflows ... again, only a few events but i would like to
see them printed out if possible.
