So, I skipped the Bira re-init test and did an alternative test:
we can run in an emulation mode. This emulation mode configures the Bira
in the so-called loopback mode: whatever you write to the output
register is feed back into the input register. I run at 20-25Hz w/
TOFpDAQ busy ~50% (that is rather high because it includes the 2ms sleep
and some extra CAMAC commands, in usual running this should be 5-15%).
The TCD reports ~65% which should be the busy reported by the TOF System
Live (at 2-1-1-1) and is an OR of tofpdaq's busy and EVENT-based busy.
I have run various runs (100s of events up to more than 36.8k) and don't
see any problem with the Bira ... of course this doesn't completely rule
out a random problem w/ the Bira.
