re: shifting the dynamic range for TOFr. I just got off the phone with
John Mitchell. We discussed a couple of scenarios moving the dynamic
range for all of TOF or TOFr only. Since TOFp hardly doesn't see any
non-linearities we thought moving the range of TOFr only may be the best
way to. The start signal to the TOFr TDCs can be moved backward by
maximum 16ns allowing the TDC signals to shift by some 300channels.
All this would require is changing the delay cable between TRIG (2-10-2)
and TOFr-TDC-common-start (4-3).
Other scenarios were far more involving and would mean replacing the
pVPD discriminators or replacing the EAST/WEST/TRIG logic with a single
OR (for pp only, though) or delaying all 72 logic cables ...
This brings me to another point: have we -or are we planning to do so
this week- changed the TRIG logic to 1.OR.1 ... i haven't seen any
messages w.r.t. this.
cheers,
frank
