D0 Cut Variables Resolution in micro-Vertex code(MuKpi.C)

How?

Ø The Good daughter tracks are found from the matchedpair info in .minimc.root file.

Ø The same daughter tracks are found and D0 is reconstructed in MuKpi.C

Ø Do the same in .geant.root file

Ø Plot the difference.

Since the D0 mass is a single value in geant the Reco distribution is the resolution. After doing a gauss fit to the peak the resolution is ~0.8% (as expected)

A slope of 3MeV is expected due to the decreasing D0 mass with pT increase. Here the slope is 2.17+-0.1MeV, which is in agreement with the above.

 

σ(pTRECO - pTGEANT/pTGEANT)

For Sigma single Track resolution is not expected.

Decay Length Resolution pure D0 Sample:
