Minimize the number of conductors needed to take the SCA information off the detector by multiplexing signals. The system should have enough band width to pass 100 events/sec to the Readout Electronics.
The total number of anodes of the SDDs comprising the SVT is over 100,000. It is not practical nor economical to deal with this many electrical connections to bring data off the detector. Instead a multiplexing scheme must be developed to substantially reduce the number of conductors needed. The baseline calls for a maximum event rate of 100 events/sec into DAQ.
For the present design the multiplexing is 240:1. Specifications are provided in Chapter 23.
