Input Aperture Time

Requirement: Rise Time

The time it takes the stored charge to rise from 10% to 90% of its final value shall not exceed 3 ns. (This may be measured with a fast rise time pulse applied to the input with delayed trigger. By incrementally delaying the pulse and observing the effect on the output measurement between samples, the rise time can be determined.)

Justification:

The time it takes to charge the input capacitor should not affect peaking time. 3 ns is of the order of 10% of peaking time and should therefore have negligible effect on position accuracy.
