Requirement:
the S/N ratio should be 60:1 for the amplitude anode in a minimum ionizing event. We expect around 24,000 electrons in one anode assuming no charge sharing. The noise level is therefore 400 rms electrons for the total Hybrid.
Justification:
Simulations show that the noise ratio quoted above, allows the position resolution not to degrade by more than 10%.
