hmmm, i n t e r e s t i n g . . .
  and yes, L2 is nothing more than a go-ahead-and-ship-it signal,
nothing more nothing less. Recoding will take a little bit more time but
surely sounds like something i definitly will consider if tomorrow's
access doesn't work out ...
