Frank,
The alarms are on pVPD (6 voltages), TOFpHV (Communication and HV
_Monitoring [branch 0 -3]) TOFrHV (Communication and HV_Monitoring[Vread
0-3, Vset 0 -3, Iread 0-3 Imax 0-3]) and last TOFrGAS (Communication and
Gas Ratios[freon , isobutane, SF6, iso-ratio and SF6-ratio])
The http://sc3.starp.bnl.gov:4444/group/tofp url will give you an idea of
the channels that Steve put in the archiver. This is a web interface for
controlling the archiver and not the star web page where you can plot and
search.
As you look this over, we were wondering if we really need to be archiving
all of these?
You can also get to the usual archiver site from the star home page
through documents.. http://sc3.starp.bnl.gov/archive/
Your group is under the TOF link
http://sc3.starp.bnl.gov/archive/star/TOF.html
Note: The TOFp HV link doesnt want to work in an IE browser but works in
Netscape. The only reason we can think of is that there are two many
channels for the IE to work. We have looked at this and were thinking of
splitting up the channels into groups. If you look at
http://sc3.starp.bnl.gov:4444/group/tofp you will see the 41 values (0- 40)
for TOFp:cell =cell voltage, and TOFp:set is the set voltage (0 -40) and
TOFp:raw = raw or unscaled voltage value that the program outputs???
TOFp:Calc = the difference between TOFp:cell and TOFp:set. Also the archiver
monitors the TOFpHVmonitoring for branches 0-3 that we alarm (see above).
Steve chose the naming conventions for most of this, but I encouraged him to
be consistent as I was creating the medm screens in parallel . If you think
it should be changed let us know and we will change them.
I too recall there was some concern about displaying too much info in the
alarm handler so if you want any of that changed let us know. I was mostly
concerned about the guidance notes being too far down in the tree structure
for the shift to read.. .. something we have seen happen...
Also again let us know how much of this you want into the archiver. .. If
you use the web interface http://sc3.starp.bnl.gov:4444 you can dynamically
track channels.. i.e. add channels but I am not sure if they get logged in
the same maner. I will have too look that up again in the manual.
Hope this helps,
Bill
