Hi Bill,
If they don’t extend the run again, on Thursday 5/29 during the day shift we will be removing the shield wall. You can remove the TOFr at this time as long as you are clear of the east side during the rigging. I don’t have a problem with your working to remove the pVPD’s at that time. John Scheblein is now working on their modification and will be in touch soon for design discussion. Thanks……….Ralph

hello ralph-thank you for the new plan....
we would like to remove tofr in the morning of 5/29 and
move it to the clean room. we can get it disconnected and ready
to slide out during the evening of 5/28... should take <20min.
does this cause any major conflcits?
also fyi on 5/27-28 i will be covering, rolling, and neatly stowing the
pvpd signal/HV cables (presently platform->balconies) so they will be out
of the way when you're ready to roll STAR.
i would also be happy to help remove/neatly stow the pVPD det assys from
around the pipe during this trip if this would be helpful to the schedule.
regards,
        bill

Folks,
I have attached the latest version of the STAR FY03 Shutdown Schedule in both a project format (.mpp) and web viewable (.html). I have asked Penka to place this on the STSG website. I have the following comments:

1) This plan includes the installation of an SSD detector, although a decision will be made the end of May. If the decision is not to install we will still remove both FTPC¹s in order to survey the location of the SVT cone, and then go directly into installing BEMC modules.
2) I¹ve included one day of subsystem testing in the WAH before we begin shutting down the detector.
3) I ask all subsystems to make themselves available to disconnect there utility connections during the first week of the shutdown.
4) Rework of the WAH overhead crane was removed due to lack of funding.
5) Although it is not shown, C-AD will begin work on a new Control Room drop ceiling.
6) Magnet and Power supply cooling water will be off, but MCW will be available for electronics.
7) AC power will be available for electronics during the shutdown.
8) The only new AC power installation work for electricians will be on the east side of the magnet for BEMC electronics.
9) Please review and comment on any issues of the plan.

I thank you for your inputŠŠŠ.Ralph
