In the following "production tags" describe the geometry tags describing realistic (pre-existing) configurations of the STAR detector, used in the simulation runs as requested by various PWGs. The R&D section was created for convenience and contain tags that describe hypothetical (future) configurations of the STAR detector studied in our detector development effort.
