Parameter Reading Window

This section details the functionality requirements for the parameter reading window.

Requirement:

The window shows the parameter index and name to be read. It shows fields labelled with the type of attributes or qualifiers to be read by the system.

Requirement:

The window shows a READ button to instruct the system to perform a READ action for the current parameter.

Justification:

It is thus possible for the user to request the readout of specific parameters explicitely at user defined time.

The window shows a DONE button to dispose of the window.

Justification:

The DONE is used by the user to indicate the window is no longer needed.

Requirement:

The window shows a PREVIOUS and NEXT buttons to request the readout of the previous or following parameter in the list.

Justification:

Allows easy travel through the list of parameters.

Requirement:

The fields shown depend on the specific instantiation of the generic parameter and are defined at configuration time.

Justification:

Different parameters call for different attributes and qualifier specification.

Requirement:

The parameter index field can be set by the user to select specific parameter index to be read.

Justification:

Allows to travel to distant parameters (in the list) quickly.
