For typical TPC cosmic-ray runs, the basic steps are:

• Set up the hardware: test sector or TPC
• Set up the software:
  1. Log onto the deneb console as staronl (if not already done).
  2. Stop any runs in progress
  3. Table Server (tblSrvr)
  4. State Manager (psm)
  5. MiniDAQ windows
  6. MiniDAQ reboot
  7. Run Control
  8. MiniDAQ without Run Control
  9. Pad Monitor
• Check/record operating conditions
• Set up tape writing
• Do a geometry run
• Do a geometry run using Slow Controls
• Do a pedestal run
• Do a pulser run
• Do a cosmic-ray run
• Load a fresh tape
• Copying the data to disk or mass storage
• Examining data:
  • Pad monitor for checking data
  • On-line analysis
  • Tracking and hit finding information
  • Pedestal/pulser studies with Staf
  • tstam macros for ped/pulser studies (obsolete)
  • Slow Controls housekeeping data
